We are so excited to have you with us! The first day of class is: Wednesday, September 2, 2009. Before the Fall 2009 semester officially kicks off, there are several important and mandatory orientation sessions that all graduate students must attend. Please make a note of these on your calendar. In addition, make sure you have everything completed by using this Enrollment Checklist!
1. Office of Biomedical Graduate Education
Information: Attendance at the general orientation program is considered mandatory for all biomedical M.S. and Ph.D. students. More Info.

2. Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Biomathematics
Information: Attendance at the department orientation program is mandatory for all M.S. and Certificate program students in Biostatistics. LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED.
NOTE: You will register for your Fall 2009 courses at this Orientation.

3. Math Super Duper Bootcamp - strongly recommended for M.S. in Biostatistics, Certificate in Biostatistics students
Information: You will be e-mailed a set of math topics along with sample problems in what is called the BOOT-UP PACKET. The bootcamp format will run as a Question & Answer session, and instructors will be present to answer any questions you may have from the BOOT-UP PACKET. You are expected to be completely familiar with the topics BEFORE the semester begins. This is to ensure your success in our program! Attendance is not mandatory, but strongly recommended. LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED.

4. Tuition/Financial Aid: All tuition-related questions should be directed to the Office of Student Accounts. All financial aid-related questions should be directed to the Office of Student Financial Services.

Information: All international students in F-1 and J-1 status are REQUIRED to attend the Immigration Reporting Session on Monday, August 24 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. * All other students (non F – 1 and J – 1 status) need to only attend the Orientations for the Office of Biomedical Graduate Education and the Department of Biostatistics.
