Bio
Valeriy R. Korostyshevskiy, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Biomathematics. He received his Specialist Diploma (BS/MS) and PhD in Applied Mathematics from Kharkiv National University (Kharkiv, Ukraine) and University of Maryland, Baltimore County, respectively. Since 2001, he has served as a (graduate) Instructor, teaching undegraduate level mathematical courses each semester. He is currently working on computational aspects of 2D gel analysis, in particular, gels alignment. His other research interests are nonlinear differential equations and dynamical systems, special functions.
